Annual parish meeting given update on planning law
At the annual parish meeting on 18th April Helen Marshall of the Campaign to Protect Rural England made a presentation on the changes in planning law. In particular the Localism Act 2011 which became law on 25th November 2011 and the National Planning Policy Framework published on 25th March 2012, which came into effect on that date. Helen explained that these changes in the law represent both an opportunity and a threat to villages.
