Friends of St Mary’s Church, Adderbury
FRIENDS OF ST MARY’S ADDERBURY (FOSMA)
FOSMA was formed in March 2009. Its main task is to raise money for the repairs and upkeep of the fabric of our beautiful church. So far £8500 has been raised by holding a series of successful and enjoyable events including some wonderful concerts, a garden party, poetry evening and a very popular beer and brass event and there is a variety of events pencilled in for this year (see ‘What’s On’ on the Adderbury website). It is the PCC who sets the agenda for ongoing maintenance and we work closely with them to help provide as much funding as possible.
At present, consideration is being given to three projects that FOSMA could contribute to, namely the repair of the wood panelling near the War Memorial, the provision of a FOSMA notice board in Church and an ambitious project to provide new wrought iron gates at the South Porch entrance.
