Tucked away in the corner of the Lucy Plackett Playing Field is a little building, the Lucy Plackett Activity Centre. It is well used and of great importance to members of the village.
Several children and young adult groups meet in the centre on a regular basis, including play and activities groups for babies and toddlers, to more formal national clubs and groups. Adult groups also use the centre, a Ninjitsu group meets on Tuesday and Sunday evenings, Thai Boxing group meets on Thursday and Sunday afternoons as well as Thursday and Friday evenings and Adderbury Morris Men meet on every other Wednesday evening. Most Saturdays the Centre is hired out for parties.
Although the fabric of the building is the responsibility of the Parish Council, the Activity Centre Management Committee holds functions to raise much needed cash for the day-to-day running of the Centre.
