Education
Adderbury is fortunate in that the village has a Primary School with it’s own Foundation Stage and an active Parent/Teacher Association. Within a five-mile radius there are comprehensive schools catering for 11-18 year-olds and a college of further education.
Christopher Rawlins CE Primary School has a dedicated ICT suite and library facilities. With a dynamic head teacher and dedicated staff, the school is well thought of and supported by members of the local community. There are many out-of-school activities one of which is a very popular gardening club.
At the age of 11, most pupils transfer to the Warriner School, a mixed 11-16 Specialist Technology College in Bloxham. On site there is an organic farm which pupils can visit out of teaching time.
For their education to ‘A’ level, students can choose to attend one of the many other sixth form centres in the area, which each cater for specialist subjects.
Some 11-year olds choose to attend the Blessed George Napier School, a voluntary aided mixed 11-18 Roman Catholic School situated in Banbury. In 2004 it was awarded Specialist Sports College status.
Students wishing to continue their education out of the school environment can attend the Oxford and Cherwell Valley College based in Banbury which offers a wide range of full- and part-time courses.
